Miley Cyrus Gets ‘Unplugged’ MTV Special, Unveils Toothy Poster

Inappropriate Miley
Miley Cyrus' most inappropriate moments.
MTV’s Unplugged series is most often associated with the 90s, in particular Nirvana’s iconic performance, which aired a whopping twenty years ago in December. This month, MTV is adding a new face to the lineup of storied musicians who’ve gone acoustic for the show: Miley Cyrus.

And what a face it is. See the poster Miley posted to her Instagram account for the special, which debuts January 29th.

Miley captioned the photo: “@MTV PRESENTS MILEY CYRUS: MTV UNPLUGGED YALL ❤️❤️❤️ check it out January 29th!”

Aside from the disturbing fake teeth, I think Miley looks quite pretty in this portrait. The platinum bob suits her. However, this isn’t about Miley’s appearance.

MTV says the unplugged performance will “showcase a more intimate side of Cyrus,” and perhaps shift the focus back to the “Wrecking Ball” singer’s talent, as opposed to her usual headlining-making personal life, lack of clothing and tongue-sticking-out antics.

“The Unplugged stage has been home to some of the most iconic live performances of all time,” MTV’s executive VP of music and talent Programming strategy Amy Doyle said. “Miley’s vision for the performance is like nothing we’ve ever seen. I can say that this will easily be one of the most memorable Unplugged performances to date.”

We can’t stop wait! Miley Cyrus: MTV Unplugged airs January 29th at 9 p.m. EST.
