Lady Gaga, Tom Hanks, and Hilary Duff Joined Forces to Celebrate Music Legend Carole King
Leading up to the 56th Annual Grammy Awards, the music community is partying hard and last night was no different. This time though, they came together to celebrate the accomplishments of Carole King, who just so happens to be this year's MusiCares Person of the Year.
Lady Gaga, Yoko Ono, Steven Tyler, and even Mr. Tom Hanks hit the red carpet last night at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Downton L.A. for the annual gala that serves to gain awareness for MusiCares, a charity that supports those in the music industry during times of need or distress.
Receiving the first standing ovation of the night, Gaga, clad in all white and sitting at an equally monochromatic piano, apparently wow'd the crowd with her own rendition of King's hit, "You've Got a Friend." And although her performance hasn't been posted in its entirety, you can snag a quick peek if you look hard enough.
The Goddess of Love also took the time to share a little love for the music legend via Twitter.
Honoring u @Carole_King was a privilege. You continue to inspire us. Were so lucky to have you in the world, your music will last forever.— Goddess of Love (@ladygaga) January 25, 2014
Other performers of the night included the Dixie Chicks, Bette Midler, Jason Mraz. And if you'd like to see all of the fun on the red carpet, all you need to do is flip through the gallery at the top of the post.
