Britney Spears: "I'm Way Less Fearless" These Days
Britney Spears may have had doubts when she first unleashed "Work Bitch" onto the world, but not anymore.
Speaking with Vegas magazine, the pop star -- who came back into the spotlight bigger than ever after announcing a residency at Sin City's Planet Hollywood -- opened up about her career and her new show, Piece of Me.
“I’m older, obviously, and I think I’m probably a little bit wiser, but I’m way less fearless. I can’t wait for the first night to be over and move on to the next show," she told the publication of resuming her Las Vegas show, which will kick start its second leg Jan. 29.
“When I’m being a mom, I’m mom all the way. I’m worried all the time, and always thinking about what we should be doing and should not be doing,” she continued. “But when I’m onstage, it’s like my therapy time. I get to be this person that I’m really not. It’s a way to get out of my own head and have some fun.”
She explained of juggling motherhood with work, "I will have some nights where I’ll come back to LA after the show and some when I’ll stay over in Las Vegas."
When Piece of Me debuted back in December, the likes of Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez came out to support the Princess of Pop. Since then, Spears sold out the first leg of her residency show (even with seats going for $2,500 a pop in the theater).
It's estimated that Spears will earn $310,000 per show, totaling up to roughly $15 million for the entire year.
Yeah, who's scared now?
