17-year-old singer Lorde was the toast of the 2014 Grammy Awards with wins for Best Pop Solo Performance and Song of the Year.

The Auckland teenager arrived back in Auckland this morning after a weekend of winning two Grammys. However, she said the feeling of winning her New Zealand awards was more intense than the Grammys.

"I feel like I was more freaking when I won my New Zealand awards to be honest," the 17-year-old said.

"It's super cool but it becomes a normal thing once you're amongst it."

In other Lorde news, there apparently has been much debate about Lorde’s real age. Many people apparently do not believe that the singer is only a teenager.

Thanks to the website The Hairpin, there is now definitive proof of Lorde being 17-years-old. They obtained the singer’s birth certificate which states Lorde's full name: Ella Marija Lani Yelich-O'Connor. Lorde's DOB: 7 November 1996.

So settle down and move on Lorde age truthers.
