WATCH: “Private Citizen” Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis Have an Awkward Run-In With a Journalist
Channel 4 news in Jacksonville bombarded the lovebirds as they got off their plane, and even though Kutcher’s camp could be seen giggling in the background, he was none too pleased. In fact, he was more confused than anything because the Two and a Half Men star believes he’s a “private citizen.”
But we’re even more dumbfounded by the questions.
Reporter Scott Johnson wanted to know why the pair was in town, but Kutcher didn't take the bait.
Here's their cringeworthy back and forth for your reading pleasure:
“Mr. Kutcher, Ms. Kunis, can I ask you a quick question? What brings you to town?” asked Johnson.
“Why are you here?” Kutcher responded.
“We just heard you were coming, we just wondered what brought you to town,” said Johnson.
“That’s weird to sort of swoop up on people as they are coming out of the airport,” said the 35-year-old actor.
“I am sorry, that’s what we do,” said Johnson.
“That’s awkward,” responded Kutcher.
“Can you guys say anything about what brings you here?” said Johnson.
“No, I’m a private citizen,” said Kutcher.
And, if that wasn't bad enough, here's another hard-hitting question.
“Anything about a relationship you can tell us?” asked Johnson.
Um, it’s not like we don’t know the cute couple is an item -- they’re constantly seen together on early morning coffee runs, watching spectator sports in matching outfits and showing PDA all over Italy and NYC. And they’ve never actually confirmed they’re dating, but Mr. Johnson thinks he’s going to land the exclusive… unless we're really confused and he’s talking about another high-profile relationship.
But Kutcher had his own response ready to go, and it was just as equally curt as the rest.
“No, I’m a private citizen at the airport,” said Kutcher.
The newscaster, who happens to do an uncanny impression of the actor, said they’re still waiting to hear from Kutcher’s rep on why the stars are in their neck of the woods.
We suggest not waiting by the phone.
