LaBeouf has put his retirement plans on hold to join the star-studded cast of Barry Levinson's new movie Rock The Kasbah.
Just weeks after the Transformers star told fans he was stepping out of the spotlight and "all public life" due to attacks against his "artistic integrity", LaBeouf has signed up for the project starring Bill Murray, Bruce Willis, Kate Hudson, Danny McBride and Zooey Deschanel.
Levinson will start shooting the comedy, in which Murray will play a washed-up music manager who lands a career boost when he takes on a pop wannabe from Afghanistan.
Shia's next film Nymphomaniac will release its first part in theaters Stateside in March before following it with the second chapter in April.
