Just weeks before its sophomore debut, Netflix’s House of Cards has been renewed for a third season. The Emmy-winning series starring Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright was originally slated to be a two-season pickup, but its success as an original series on the online streaming service proved to be unstoppable.

Based on a BBC miniseries of the same name, House of Cards’ first season was a hit amongst critics, receiving four Golden Globe nods — with Wright winning the award for Best Actress in a Drama series — and nine Emmy nominations.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, production for the third season will start soon. For now, the show’s second season will be released on Netflix Feb. 14.
