Taylor Swift Would Rather Write More Songs About Her Exes Than Take Her Clothes Off
Don't be expecting Taylor Swift to be pulling a Miley Cyrus any time soon.
Despite her fellow pop stars taking it all off, the "Red" singer says hopes she can continue doing her -- writing songs about her exes -- before ever having to strip down to sell records.
"I find it relatively easy to keep my clothes on because I don't really feel like taking them off. It's not an urge I have," she tells Glamour magazine. "For me 'risky' is revealing what really happened in my life through music. Risky is writing confessional songs and telling the true story about a person with enough details so everyone knows who that person is. That's putting myself out there, maybe even more than taking my shirt off."
And Swift has plenty of material to write about. Though her tracks about former flames Joe Jonas, Jake Gyllenhaal, Harry Styles and Taylor Lautner have catapulted her into superstardom, Our Lady of Breakup songs still has a few important insights about relationships that needs to be shared.
"I think everyone should approach relationships from the perspective of playing it straight and giving someone the benefit of the doubt. Until he establishes that this is a game," she says. "And if it's a game, you need to win. The best thing to do is just walk away from the table."
She explains of her rule of never yelling in a relationship, "Silence speaks so much louder than screaming tantrums. Never give anyone an excuse to say that you're crazy."
Yeah. You just write songs about them instead.
