Paul Bettany, who's played the voice of J.AR.V.I.S, the computer/butler in several Marvel films, is getting a promotion ... of sorts. The 42-year old actor has just been cast as the android superhero, Vision in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Bettany, who has been heard but not seen in all three Iron man movies and the first Avengers installment, returns to the series as Vision, the android with a "chalk-white" complexion. (Powder?) Paul joins an already star-studded cast, including Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L. Jackson and James Spader as the supervillain Ultron.

Avengers: Age of Ultron begins principal photography in March and is expected to be in theaters May 1, 2015.
