Lena Dunham Reveals Cover for Upcoming Book, Confirms Its Release Date
The world's "hardest-working millennial" is on her way to dominating the literary world.
On Monday, Lena Dunham took to her to show off the cover for her upcoming book, Not That Kind of Girl: A Young Woman Tells You What She's "Learned," and announce its release date.
“If I can take what I’ve learned in this life and make one treacherous relationship or degrading job easier for you, perhaps even prevent you from becoming temporarily vegan, then every misstep of mine will have been worthwhile," an excerpt of the book -- which is now available for pre-order on Amazon, reads. "No, I am not a sexpert, a psychologist, or a registered dietician. I am not a married mother of three or the owner of a successful hosiery franchise. But I am a girl with a keen interest in self-actualization, sending hopeful dispatches from the front lines of that struggle.”
Reportedly, the actress/writer signed a book deal with Random House for $3.5 million. “We’re thrilled to welcome Lena to Random House. Her skill on the page as a writer is remarkable — fresh, wise, so assured," the publishing house's editor-in-chief, Susan Kamil, said. "She is that rare literary talent that will only grow from strength to strength and we look forward to helping her build a long career as an author."
