The Daily Mirror‘s Victoria Murphy reports that Catherine was one of four godparents present at St. Barnabas Church in England, as were the Duke of Cambridge and Prince George.
“She was there as a godparent not as a princess,” Reverend Ken Dustan told the Mirror. “I don’t normally pay a huge amount of attention to godparents as long as the godparents are there and willing to make the appropriate promises.
“My main concern was that I got the tone right for the family and for the baptism.”
The Reverend explained that the couple were waiting to see if Catherine would be available for the ceremony. When the father called Reverend Ken to confirm his wife’s university friend as one of the godparents, he revealed her name as well.
