Pink's Probably Going to Do Her Acrobatic Thing at the Oscars This Year Too
"We are very excited to welcome Pink to the Oscar stage for the very first time," producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron said in a statement. "She is regarded as one of the greatest voices in pop music and one of the best performers of her generation, and we are thrilled to have her join us for a highly anticipated moment on the broadcast.”
There have been a lot of times when I thought more performances might make the Academy Awards more exciting, but now that the producers are actually taking my advice, I regret ever thinking it. In addition to Pink, Idina Menzel, Pharrell and Bette Midler are set to perform during the ceremony.
But here's a novel idea: what if we just focused on handing out the awards and gave the winners time to make a real speech instead?
