Amanda Seyfried to Replace Mila Kunis in 'Ted 2'
Actor Mark Wahlberg is getting a new love interest in the sequel to the comedy blockbuster Ted.
Actress Amanda Seyfried will replace Mila Kunis in the sequel to Seth MacFarlane's 2012 comedy, which was the highest-grossing R-rated film of the year and eventually nabbed the title of he highest-grossing original R-rated comedy of all time with a $549.4 million worldwide box-office haul.
Deadline reports that the switch to Seyfried was simply a creative decision and that Kunis will take on a "tiny role, if at all," in sequel.
MacFarlane will return as writer, producer and the voice of the foul-mouthed teddy bear Ted, and Wahlberg reprises his role as the bear's friend, John Bennett.
Seyfried's casting comes on the heels of her turn in MacFarlane's previous project, the comic western A Million Ways to Die in the West, which hits theaters on May 30.
Look for Ted 2 to open in theaters on June 26, 2015.
