Did Leonardo DiCaprio Buy This Palm Springs Panty-Dropping Palace for $5.2 Million?
The Oscar-nominated actor recently sold his Malibu retreat for a sweet $19 million, so he’s got a few extra bucks to spare and more than enough to splurge on the legendary estate once owned by Dinah Shore for $5.23 million.
Only on the market for 42 days with an original asking price of $5.495M, the wealthy desert community has been chattering about their new high-profile neighbor, rumored to be the Wolf of Wall Street star, but with confidentiality agreements inked local real estate agents have been sworn to secrecy.
Yep, that sounds like the reclusive actor.
And by the looks of the prime property, he definitely has a specific taste in real estate -- sprawling green lawns, sparkling pool, and modern architecture inside and out.

The 1.3-acre spread was designed by famed architect Donald Wexler in 1964, but renovations have incorporated its vintage appeal with tons of modern features. The 6 bedrooms and 7.5 baths have everything from flanked hardwood ceilings, stone flooring and walls of glass to showcase the lush backyard and mountains.
Decorated with upscale contemporary features, the commercial kitchen has granite countertops, while the master bed sits near a stone fireplace and a massive en suite his and hers bathroom decked out in aluminum-esque flooring, sea foam tile and metal soaking tub.
Outside is an entertainer's dream loaded with multiple covered patios for dining and conversation, Zen stone garden, fire pit, and lounge deck surrounding the pool, spa and numerous fountains. Perfect for his entourage of visiting BFFs (i.e. Kevin Connolly, Lukas Haas and Tobey Maguire), there’s a man cave/game room, tennis court and projection screen in the living room.
