While arriving in Washington D.C. Thursday, the “Blurred Lines” singer made it very clear that he’s still working on his marital problems with wife Paula Patton, telling a TMZ cameraman, “I’m just trying to get her back, man.”
Thicke added that the couple are still “trying to figure things out.”
Earlier this week, rumors that Thicke had been fighting to save his marriage to the Baggage Claim actress surfaced. According to reports, the singer abruptly cancelled several of his show — citing a throat problem — to fly to Canada to have a sit-down with his wife in an attempt to get her to change her mind about their split.
On Wednesday, Thicke broke his silence, thanking fans for their support during the couple’s difficult time. He wrote in a message on his website:
I want to thank everyone for the well wishes these last few days. My fans mean everything to me. I’m looking forward to getting back on out on the road and performing in Washington DC this Thursday, and the rest of the tour. Looking forward to seeing everyone out there!
Thicke and Patton have been married since 2005 after meeting when they were only teenagers. They have a three-year-old son named Julian together.
