First Pic of Grant Gustin's 'The Flash' Costume Revealed
The CW's The Flash pilot is finally set to begin production next week, and in advance of that, Warner Bros. Television has released the first photo of star Grant Gustin in costume as the iconic DC Comics superhero.
Based on DC Comics characters, The Flash, the series tells the story of scientist Barry Allen, who’s transformed into the fastest man alive by a freak accident.
Arrow team Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and David Nutter are executive producing the pilot, with Berlanti and Kreisberg writing along with DC Entertainment chief creative officer Geoff Johns. Nutter is directing.
Last fall on Arrow, Grant guest starred in two episodes as Barry Allen, a Central City assistant police forensic investigator who assisted Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) and Team Arrow before being struck by energy from the exploding S.T.A.R. Labs particle accelerator. Although Allen was put into a coma by the discharge, he’ll be back in action next week when the highly anticipated pilot for The Flash begins filming.
The cast also includes Jesse L. Martin, Candice Patton, Carlos Valdes and Tom Cavanagh.
The Flash is heavily expected to receive a series order from The CW and premiere in the fall.
