After being hit with a midseason hiatus, the cast of The Mindy Project can finally breathe a sigh of relief as the comedy series has been renewed for a third season.

FOX announced Friday that the Mindy Kaling-helmed series will have another-go on the network along with a slew of comedies, including New Girl for a fourth season and Brooklyn Nine-Nine for a second season. Kevin Bacon‘s serial killer thriller The Following has also gotten the greenlight for a third season.

“These shows are some of the best and acclaimed series on television, with influential, culture-driving stars, and some of the best, most creative talent behind the camera,” FOX execs Kevin Reilly and Joe Earley said in a joint statement. “All four are core assets within our 2014-2015 portfolio of content, and we’re really happy to bring them back to our Fox fans for another season.”

As for the network’s other series, Glee will return in its sixth and final season season while singing competition The X Factor has been completely cancelled.
