This Is the First Thing Kesha Did After Leaving Rehab
Now that the "Timber" singer is starting over after two months in rehab to treat an eating disorder, she’s got a new look, new Twitter handle and a new motto.
“Had to go play in the sand,” the 26-year-old posted to Twitter of herself joyously at play on the beach Friday.
This is her first outing since leaving the Chicago-area clinic where she checked in Jan. 3 to battle a long struggle with bulimia.
And she took the chance to make a statement and show off her new pink ‘do.
“IMA Survivor,” reads her sweatshirt.
Kesha, who just changed her Twitter account from "Ke$hasux" to a much more positive "Kesharose," tried to keep her 'Animals' updated on how she was doing during her time in treatment: "I just wanted to say that this is really hard and necessary work. I'm grateful for all the love and support," she wrote in February. "I couldn't do this without you."
Taking a cue from her hit song, she wants her more than 3 million social media followers to know she's a warrior.
"Happy to be back!" she wrote in her comeback post Thursday. "Feeling healthy & working on tons of new music."
