Bill O'Reilly Calls Beyoncé's Music 'Exploitive Garbage,' Says She's a Bad Role Model for Girls
ASTONISHING! A Fox News anchor is pissed that there are sexual references in the entertainment world!
Yup. Bill O'Reilly really knows how to pick his battles, slamming Beyoncé during an interview with Russell Simmons yesterday and holding nothing back when it came to his distaste toward the "Drunk in Love" singer.
"She puts out a new album with a video that glorifies having sex in the back of a limousine. Teenage girls look up to Beyoncé, particularly girls of color. She's an adult to them," O'Reilly commented. "Why on earth would this woman do that? Why would she do it when she knows the devastation that unwanted pregnancies... and fractured families [cause]--Why would Beyoncé do that?"
Simmons tried to explain the art behind a musician's drive as a reflection of our reality, but O'Reilly wasn't having it. "That's art? Beyoncé in the back of a limo having sex and referencing Monica Lewinsky is art?" He asked in reference to Bey's "Partition" video.
He also went on to describe that particular video as "inexplicable" and "exploitive garbage," saying Bey has an obligation to protect children.
The most interesting part about all of this? Simmons was on the show to talk about his new book on meditation yet somehow ended up spending the majority of the time defending Beyoncé (whom he continually referred to as "one of the top artists in the world").
Leave it to Bill O'Reilly to flip things around so swiftly in his favor... Such a fair and honest journalist he is! LOL.
