Find Out Why Kristin Cavallari is Nervous About Baby No. 2
Although the former Laguna Beach star has some experience already with raising a child, she still has a few concerns.
Cavallari confessed she’s worried about her 19-month-old son Camden and how he will feel about being a big brother.
“I’m nervous,” she told People. “I don’t want him to feel like he’s being replaced. I know the first few months are going to be hard when I’m breastfeeding all the time. We’re just going to try to be so careful to make sure he’s still getting a lot of attention, knows he’s still extremely loved and this baby is in no way taking his spot.”
Fabulist host and her football hubby Jay Cutler have tried explaining to Camden that there’s about to be another baby in their lives, but he doesn’t quite understand yet. “We tell him there’s a baby inside Mommy’s bell. He doesn’t really understand that,” she shared. “We’ll be like ‘Camden, do you want to be a big brother?’ and he’ll shake his head no.”
However, Cavallari is sure he’ll be a good big brother, saying, “Anytime a baby comes over, he’s really concerned about the baby and wants to hug it and give it kisses.”
Other than worrying about Camden (and having awkward pregnant sex), Kristin says she and Cutler feel more than ready to take on baby no. 2!
“The first time, you’re anxious, you’re nervous, you’re excited, you have so many emotions. It’s like the closer you get to your due date, you’re ready but you’re also not quite ready, so you don’t mind if the baby stays in there. But this one, I’m like, ‘Let’s get him out here, I want to see him, I just want to hold him and see what he looks like.’ I’m just really excited more than anything.”
And so are we! Can’t wait to meet the little nugget.
Kristin, Jay and Camden are set to welcome the new addition to the family this spring.
