Joe Manganiello Reveals 'Magic Mike 2' Will Begin Filming in The Fall
Awwwwww, yeahhhh! Magic Mike 2 will start shooting in the fall, Joe Manganiello revealed in an interview with Collider.com.
Manganiello, 37, who plays the well-endowed stripper, Big Dick Richie, in the franchise said the movie would start shooting in autumn. "I think they’re going to announce it soon. It was the most fun I’ve ever had, and I can’t wait to get back in and mix it up with those guys.” Those guys. We can't wait for Joe, Matt Bomer, Matthew McConaughey and Channing Tatum to get back in, err, costume either.
Tatum, who stars as the titular Michael "Magic Mike" Lane, shared an amusing photo on Instagram a few months ago.
"What better way to start writing #MagicMike2 than with my old friend Dallas? #runatribe"
While Steven Soderbergh directed Magic Mike, and the film grossed a whopping $167 million worldwide, a director has yet to be named for the film's sequel. There has been speculation Tatum may co-direct with his writing partner, Reid Carolin, however.
We'll keep our eyes peeled for those on-set photos, folks. Stay tuned.
