Lady Gaga Covered Up with Roses for Her Roseland Ballroom Residency

Lady Gaga has begun being very literal when it comes to her fashion choices, covering her lady bits up with nothing but nude tights and red roses just before the beginning of her residency at the Roseland Ballroom.

Mother Monster played the first of seven performances at the historic venue on Friday, which also happened to be her 28th birthday.

According to ABC News, the set was short and sweet, but included “Born this Way,” “Just Dance,” “Poker Face,” and her newest single “G.U.Y.

Alas, there wasn’t even an ounce of vomit to be found.

And even though the audience included Gaga’s boyfriend Taylor Kinney and FUN. frontman Nate Ruess, the rest of the fans who had shown up were upset with the show that ended an hour after it started.

That didn’t affect her mood though, declaring her excitement and anticipation for the residency before singing “Dope.”

“When I woke up this morning I was so happy,” she said. “I couldn’t wait to get here tonight. I have so many friends here … so many fans I’ve grown up with for six whole years, seven whole years.”

The Roseland Ballroom opened in 1919, moved buildings in the late 1950’s, and will close its doors for good following Gaga’s last performance on April 7th.
