Tori Spelling Plans to Chronicle Her Marriage Meltdown on Reality TV
Tori Spelling is returning to reality TV.
Only this comeback isn’t quite Tori & Dean: Inn Love.
The Beverly Hills, 90210 actress has been dodging rumors that her marriage to Dean McDermott is in shambles ever since reports surfaced of the couple’s financial troubles to his rumored wandering eye and well-known stint in rehab.
Now, 41-year-old Spelling is ready to lift the lid off all the speculation in a new docu-series, True Tori.
The mother-of-four starts filming this week for the show that’s set to air on Lifetime April 22 at 10 p.m. that will “document the couple in almost real-time as the navigate the unknown road ahead, beginning when Dean leaves treatment,” a press release about the series stated.
According to Us Weekly, the Canadian cooking show host cheated on Spelling with a girl 20 years his junior named Emily Goodhand, who dished to the mag: “He told me he and Tori had a sexless marriage. I believed him.”
Just after the 47-year-old’s affair hit the presses, he checked into rehab for undisclosed reasons.
“I am truly sorry for the mistakes I have made and for the pain I’ve caused my family,” McDermott said in a statement to PEOPLE. “I take full responsibility for my actions and have voluntarily checked myself into a treatment center to address some health and personal issues. I am grateful to be getting the help I need so I can become the husband and father my family deserves.”
The inside look will “allow the audience to witness the most difficult and unpredictable period in [Tori’s] life,” per the release, but doesn’t go so far as to reveal whether her new on-camera life will be with or without her husband of seven years.
“Only time will tell if Tori and Dean’s marriage survives,” it reads.
The suspense is killing us.
