Miley Cyrus Pays Tribute to Her Dog, Breaks Down During ‘Landslide’ Cover

Girls & Their Dogs!
Who said doggies are only man's best friend?!
Miley Cyrus is paying tribute to her late furry friend through song.

Still mourning over the loss of her Alaskan Klee Kai pup, Floyd, the songstress covered a heartbreaking rendition of Fleetwood Mac’s “Landslide” during a special KISS 108 FM sound check for fans in Boston, Mass., this Wednesday.

“My dog who is — I shouldn’t say he was my favorite — but he was my favorite, he passed away,” she told the crowd before dedicating the somber tune to her dog. “I just wanted to do this song for him because we used to always listen to Fleetwood Mac together and this was his favorite song.”

Visibly upset, the “Adore You” crooner at one point turned away from the audience to wipe away some tears. Cyrus’ sister, Noah, eventually came onstage to comfort the singer with a hug.

Earlier this week, the singer wrote on Twitter that she has been “miserable” since her dog had passed, tweeting:

In 2012, Cyrus’ two-year-old Yorkie, Lila, died after she was attacked by another one of the singer’s dogs. It is not known what caused Floyd’s death.
