Kate Middleton Gives Nose Kisses, Views Men in Thongs Upon Arriving in New Zealand
Britain’s Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton, arrived in New Zealand’s capital to cheers from locals who braved windy, rainy weather to catch a glimpse of the royal couple.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge landed in the fog-shrouded city of Wellington on Monday along with their baby son, George, to kick off a three-week tour of New Zealand and Australia.
She also wore a diamond and platinum silver fern brooch lent to her by the Queen.
They receiving a warm welcome which included touching noses and meeting thong wearing Maori warriors. which made for an interesting photo opportunity.
The Maori ceremonial welcome, also known as the Powhiri, included several speeches, as well as dancing and singing. The Duke then inspected a Guard of Honor before a 21 gun salute was fired.
