Don’t Hate Rob Lowe Because He’s Beautiful
In a new interview with the New York Times, Rob laments on the issues that he’s run in to being so darn handsome.
“There’s this unbelievable bias and prejudice against, quote-unquote, ‘good-looking people,’ that they can’t be in pain or they can’t have rough lives or be deep or interesting,” Lowe told the New York Times.
Yesterday (April 08, 2014), during an appearance on Good Morning America to promote his book Love Life, the former Parks and Recreation star explained what he meant in saying: “When I was a teen idol, I was so goddamn pretty, I wouldn’t have taken myself seriously.”
“It’s a national tragedy,” Lowe joked. “Statistics show that worldwide, a minimum of 20 to 30 people suffer from this, and if I can’t use my podium for good, then what’s the point of it, really?”
But lately, Lowe says things have changed.
“I’m getting to play those parts now and loving it. When I was a teen idol, I was so goddamn pretty I wouldn’t have taken myself seriously,” he added.
Lowe’s latest memoir, Love Life, is now available for sale on stores and online.
