See, Shia LaBeouf Isn't Such a Bad Guy After All!
Shia LaBeouf Buys Lunch for a Homeless Veteran
There's actually some good underneath that "I am not famous anymore" paper bag.
Shia LaBeouf, who has been staying out of the spotlight since getting into another bar fight and creating a performance art installation out of his life, was spotted grabbing lunch at a Tender Greens in Hollywood Tuesday when he went out of his way -- quite literally -- to buy lunch for a homeless veteran.
An eyewitness told Celebuzz that LaBeouf -- clad in a t-shirt, jeans and a white baseball cap -- was dining in the restaurant alone when he spotted a man in a wheelchair asking customers for spare change. As the man was leaving, the Transformers actor chased after him to hand him a salad and a cup of ice water.
"Shia shook his hand and said, 'God bless you,'" the eyewitness told us. "Then, he went back inside to his table to finish his food. He even bussed his own tray."
The homeless man, who said he had served in the army, later return to the eatery to thank LaBeouf. The two exchanged a few words before parting ways.
"It was a very nice thing to do," the eyewitness added. "He looked like he wanted to be left alone for the most part, but a fan approached him during his meal and Shia simply shook their hand. He seemed really nice during the whole thing."
