Katy Perry Isn't Returning John Mayer's Texts or Calls, Is 'Happy' to Be Single
Katy Perry and John Mayer are never, ever getting back together.
In fact, the "Roar" singer is "happy being single," a friend of Perry's told People magazine. Katy, 29, who just dyed her hair slime green and shared a sexy snap on Instagram, is apparently embracing her newfound freedom and "finally decided, 'f*ck it. I'm going to do what I want to do and I don't care what people think'."
And although her ex John Mayer has allegedly reached out to the "Dark Horse" singer, Katy is not returning his calls or texts. The couple split in February following infidelity rumors, and Katy is not looking back. "She is happy being single. I don't see her getting into another relationship for a very long time. Why would she? She has a fantastic career, a ton of friends and is generally happy with things. She thinks that a relationship will complicate things right now," People's source says.
Instead of a relationship, Perry will indeed be very busy with her career. Her Prismatic World Tour kicks off May 8th in Ireland.
Does this mean the divorced "Who You Love" singer has given up on men? Not so, Perry's friend says.
"Katy has always been a romantic, but she knows that it doesn't all have to happen immediately. She doesn't need to have the prince on the white horse now. She'll wait, and take care of herself in the meantime."
