Lily Allen Turned Down a 'Game of Thrones' Role, Didn't Want to Be Molested By Her Brother
Game of Thrones is notorious for its incestuous story lines, but even this one is pushing it a little too far.
During a Reddit AMA Tuesday, Lily Allen revealed that she had previously turned down a role on the popular HBO series because it required her to get a little too intimate with real-life brother Alfie Allen, who plays Theon Greyjoy on the show.
Loyal fans will rcall in the Season 2 episode "The Night Lands," Alfie's character tried to seduce -- or rather, just plainly felt up -- a woman from his childhood before learning that the mystery lady was his biological sister, Yara. According to Lily, she immediately rejected the offer, which was eventually accepted by actress Gemma Whelan, after learning about the incestuous scene.
"I've been asked to do a Game of Thrones cameo, they asked me if I'd be interested in playing Theon's sister, and I felt uncomfortable because I would have had to go on a horse and he would have touched me up and shit," Lily wrote. "Once they told me what was entailed, I said no thanks. I would be open to doing a musical cameo like Sigur Ros, though."
Well, she'll just have to stick to singing about her brother then.
