In the latest edition of “Lie Witness News,” in which a Jimmy Kimmel Live staffer takes to the streets to ask people questions based on facts that are completely untrue, Godzilla takes center stage. And it’s beautiful.

Upon being informed that Godzilla the movie is actually based on the true story of a giant lizard attack on Tokyo in 1954, these unsuspecting individuals chime in on why Hollywood should not glamorize the event.

Some highlights:

“It’s disrespectful to the people.”

“It’s a travesty.”

“Is Godzilla like a dinosaur?”
