Miley Cyrus may not be able to stop herself, but she can stop an Arizona man from trying to harass her…at least temporarily.
The Associated Press is reporting that Cyrus obtained a temporary restraining order Friday against Devon Meek, an Arizona man who was recently detained by police while trying to meet the “Wrecking Ball” singer.
Devon was arrested on May 16th just outside a property at an unspecified location that he believed is owned by Cyrus.
Meek, who is 24 years old, apparently believes the singer is communicating to him through her songs. And although he remains in an psychiatric hospital following his arrest, Meek has allegedly maintained that he will continue trying to meet Miley if he’s ever released.
Detective Rosibel Smith wrote in a sworn statement, obtained by the AP, that Meek told officers they should shoot him in the head if he couldn’t meet Cyrus.
A hearing to extend the restraining order for three years is scheduled for June 16.
