Robert Pattinson Talks Kristen Stewart, Opens Up About His Desires in Life After 'Twilight'
Everyone tends to envision Robert Pattinson as this dark, haunted person who closely relates to his character Edward Cullen from Twilight. But in reality the 28-year-old actor is quite the opposite.
In an interview with Hollywood Reporter he proves he's really a fun, laid back, down-to-earth guy who likes to have a good time--which doesn't take much, describing "absolute heaven" as laying in an inflatable pool chair with a bottle of rosé.
Rupert Sanders or their breakup, but does he still maintain contact with her? "Oh, yeah!" he answers happily.
After all, the couple went through a major transformation together, becoming iconic characters in one of the biggest movie sagas of all time, which of course brought tons of fame and money along with it.
Though Pattinson finds himself indifferent to money. In fact, the star admits he sold his $6.27 million home three years ago because it was just too much. "It was too big a house," he says. "It was incredible, like Versailles. It was absolutely, completely crazy. It had this incredible garden, but you just stay in one room anyway. I could basically live in a cell as long as I had a window."
There's only one thing the actor really splurges on: guitars. "I buy nice guitars, and that's about my only expense," he says of his collection of 17.
He now finds himself renting a place in a gated community in Coldwater Canyon with no decor, three inflatable mattresses and no clothes. "I don't understand how I don't have any clothes," he groans. "I've basically stolen every item of clothing that anyone's ever given me for a premiere, but in my closet there's literally about three things."
That's great news for us... The fewer the clothes on R. Pattz, the better!
All in all, he's a super low-key guy--almost an anti-star--who's pretty content with his life. "I have extremely simply desired. I don't need anything. I don't want anything at all."
