The man who accosted Brad Pitt on a red carpet has pleaded no contest to battery Friday and was ordered to stay away from the actor and all Hollywood red carpet events.

Vitalii Sediuk entered an no contest plea during a court appearance this afternoon (May 30, 2014), two days after he leaped from a fan area and made contact with Pitt at the Maleficent premiere.

Pitt was not seriously hurt and continued to sign autographs for fans after the incident, but was issued a restraining order against Sediuk.

He was sentenced to three years of probation and must attend a year's worth of psychological counseling.

Sediuk, 25, was also ordered to stay away from Pitt's partner Angelina Jolie and stay 500 yards away from the Hollywood block where movie premieres and the Academy Awards are hosted.

He was also ordered to stay away from LA Live, a downtown entertainment complex where Sediuk crashed the Grammy Awards in 2013.

The reporter has also lost his job. Ukraine's Channel 1+1 told CNN Thursday that it had fired controversial TV personality Vitalii Sediuk after he scurried under actress America Ferrera's dress at Cannes on May 17, more than a week before he struck Pitt on the red carpet Wednesday.

"(Sediuk) no longer represents the interests of the company," a spokeswoman for 1+1 said in a statement obtained by the Hollywood Reporter.

It looks like Vitalii is going to have to relocate to NYC in order to get his prank on again.
