Lily Allen's Brother Says Singer Was Never Offered 'Game of Thrones' Role
Remember when Lily Allen said she was offered a part on Game of Thrones but turned it down because she found out that her character would have to be felt up by her real-life brother? Well, apparently that story is as fake as Sansa Stark's necklace.
Alfie Allen, who plays Theon Greyjoy, has called bullshit on his own blood's claim. Speaking with Vulture, the actor denies that producers ever thought about casting his offscreen sister as his onscreen sibling, Yara Greyjoy, on the HBO series.
"The only thing I'm going to say on that is that it's not true," he says. "Gemma Whalen was always their first choice for the part. And she's fantastic. And that's the only thing I'm going to say about that."
Previously, Lily mentioned in a Reddit AMA that she was asked to appear in her brother's show but she felt "uncomfortable" in taking the role after learning about some of her explicit scenes.
"I've been asked to do a Game of Thrones cameo, they asked me if I'd be interested in playing Theon's sister, and I felt uncomfortable because I would have had to go on a horse and he would have touched me up and shit," she wrote. "Once they told me what was entailed, I said no thanks. I would be open to doing a musical cameo like Sigur Ros, though."
Forget what's on TV. This he said/she said is way more juicer than the final minutes of "The Mountain and the Viper."
