Jennifer Lopez Cancels World Cup Performance After Split from Casper Smart
Just days after splitting from her boyfriend of two years, the 44-year-old singer has canceled her World Cup opening ceremony performance, which was set for Thursday alongside Pitbull and Brazilian singer Claudia Leitte.
However, it appears the split is no connection to her split from Casper.
FIFA announced the singer decided to cancel her performance of this year’s official World Cup song “We Are One (Ole Ola)” due to unspecified production issues.
A rep for J. Lo said, “We can confirm the accuracy of FIFA’s statement… Regretfully [she] will not this year’s World Cup opening ceremonies.”
Meanwhile, rumors have been circulating that Lopez split from Smart due to claims the 27-year-old backup dancer was having an affair with a transgender model.
