Watch Neil Patrick Harris Lick Samuel L. Jackson's Glasses and Give Sting a Lap Dance While Performing at the Tonys
Harris won a Tony later in the night, for best actor in a musical for his performance as Hedwig. Jesse Mueller won best actress in a musical for her performance as Carole King in Beautiful. On the non-musical side of things, Bryan Cranston won best actor in a play for portraying Lyndon B. Johnson in All the Way and Audra McDonald won best actress as Billie Holiday in Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill. It was an historic win for McDonald, who is now the first person to win Tonys in all four acting categories--best leading actress in a play, best leading actress in a musical, best supporting actress in a play and best supporting actress in a musical. It was also her sixth Tony overall, which puts her ahead of Angela Lansbury and Julie Harris as the most winning performer in Tony history. You can watch her emotional acceptance speech here:
The night's top prizes went to A Gentleman' Guide to Love and Murder and All the Way for best musical and best play, respectively.
