Reporter Has No Idea the Man He’s Interviewing About ‘Fargo’ Stars in ‘Fargo’

You could know Bob Odenkirk from any number of things. Perhaps it’s his cameo as a Michael Scott-esque manager in The Office. Or maybe its his role as Saul Goodman in Breaking Bad and the upcoming spin-off Better Call Saul. Or maybe it’s his work in FX’s Fargo. Or, in Global News reporter Gil Tucker’s case, it’s none of them.

Tucker was in Calgary to report on Fargo filming around the city. While he was doing man-on-the-street interviews, he happened upon one of the stars of the show, Odenkirk, and began asking him questions about the show’s production. “What do you see over here, eh?” Tucker asks Odenkirk, who casually responds, “We’re shooting the show.”

From there the interview continues with the two waxing poetic about the difference between Wisonsin, North Dakotan, and Canadian dialects. “Oh, hey, what’s your first name?” Tucker asks, as is customary man-on-the-street procedure, as the interview ends. “Bob,” the two-time Emmy Award winner answers.
