Justin Bieber Strikes Plea Deal in DUI Case
It looks like Justin Bieber is off the hook ... for now.
The 20-year-old "Believe" singer has just reached an agreement with the judge in his Miami drag racing/DUI case.
TMZ reports that Bieber will plead guilty to reckless driving and all other charges against the pop star will be dismissed. He will pay a fine and be required to attend an anger management course, but will not be placed on probation.
Apparently, the judge was pushing to have the "Baby" singer appear in a anti-drug public service announcement, but both Bieber's lawyer and the prosecutor felt that was "inappropriate." The judge eventually relented.
Additionally, prosectors were supposedly trying to get Justin to attend a drug and alcohol education class, but Bieber's camp felt that would be tantamount to an admitting Bieber has substance abuse issues, hence the anger management course.
Once the Biebs meets the requirements of his deal, the reckless driving conviction will be wiped from his record.
