Tracy Morgan Upgraded to Fair Condition
Tracy Morgan's condition has been upgraded to fair, a major improvement for the comedian who was nearly killed in a June 7 collision. The crash happened overnight on the New Jersey Turnpike, while Morgan and some friends were returning from a gig in a rented limo bus. When a Wal-Mart truck swerved into them, Morgan and two others were badly injured and comedian James McNair was killed.
"Happy to pass along that Tracy has been upgraded to fair condition, which is a great improvement," Morgan's spokesman Lewis Kay said. "His personality is certainly starting to come back as well."
The driver of the Wal-Mart truck, Kevin Roper recently pleaded not guilty to death by auto and assault by auto charges. According to prosecutors, Roper had not slept in more than 24 hours when the accident occurred.
Morgan's assistant Jeffrey Millea has also been upgraded to fair condition, while Ardie Fuqua remains in critical condition.
