That Time Cara Delevingne Fell Asleep During Her Vogue Interview — Twice
That’s exactly what Cara Delevingne did during her latest profile with the fashion publication. According to writer Plum Sykes, she had to wake up the 21-year-old catwalker not once, but twice, from her beauty sleep.
“I always wake up 10 minutes before I have to be anywhere,” Delevingne explained after she showed up late to the spa where the two had planned to meet. After apologizing for sleeping in, the model then proceeded to get a massage and — surprise, surprise — took a nap on the table.
“I’m so sorry!” she told Sykes when she awoke hours later. “I fall asleep everywhere! Someone recently asked if they could publish a book of pictures of me sleeping, because there are so many.”
Tim Walker, Delevingne often dozed off.
“Every shoot I’ve done with her, she’s fallen asleep,” he said when Sykes asked him about the model’s behavior. “She slept for seven hours on one Mulberry shoot.”
Though Sykes attributed her interviewee’s penchant for sleep to late night parties, Delevingne insisted her tired state stems from jet lag. After Vogue published the article, the Brit took to her own Twitter to defend herself, explaining that her sleep pattern is messed up because of work.
