Proud American Will Ferrell surprised some lucky Americans in the town of Recife, Brazil on Wednesday — all in the name of soccer.

Naturally, Ferrell led the crowd of Team USA fans in a proud chant for their nation.

“I’m so honored to be playing tomorrow,” the Anchorman star joked. “I’m not gonna lie to you, I’m not in the best shape.”

Ferrell, who sported the official red, white and blue jersey for the outing, also promised his nation he would do anything to win Thursday’s game against Germany, including putting on his best Luis Suarez face. (Suarez, who plays for Uruguay, infamously took a bite out of Italian player Giorgio Chiellini in a match earlier this week).

“If the game gets close, I will bite the opponent. I will bite. I will bite every German player if I have to. I don’t care,” Ferrell said.

USA is scheduled to take on Germany at 12 p.m. EST on Thursday. Get into the spirit of cheering for this great nation with Will Ferrell's video, above.
