A New Trailer for 'Gone Girl' Shows Us What to Expect

Here is the second trailer for Gone Girl, perhaps one of this fall's most highly anticipated films. Each step in the process—from casting to filming locations—has been scrutinized and now director David Fincher is giving us the most revealing look yet at what to expect.

Unsurprisingly, it's going to be dark. Really dark. This is some serious grimness from the same man who brought us Fight Club and The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.

This second trailer also gives us more of a look at the film's supporting characters, most notably Kim Dickens as Detective Rhonda Boney, one half of the team investigating Amy's disappearance. We also get (brief) glimpses of Tyler Perry as Tanner Bolt, Nick's attorney, Neil Patrick Harris as Desi Collings, Amy's "admirer," Carrie Coon as Nick's twin sister Margo, Casey Wilson as Noelle Hawthorne, Nick and Amy's nosey neighbor, and Missi Pyle as Ellen Abbott, a Nancy Grace-esque talking head.

Over the weekend, 20th Century Fox also released four new posters in honor of July 5th, the fictional Nick and Amy's wedding anniversary and also the day that Amy disappears. Again, they're creepy.
