E.L. James Insists 'Fifty Shades of Grey' Sex Scenes Won't Be "Watered Down"
There's still hope for those who weren't so pleased with the recently-released Fifty Shades of Grey
trailer. Though the teaser was fairly tame in terms of showing the NSFW stuff
that made the erotica novel famous, the woman behind the book, author E.L. James
, insists that fans will still be able to see stars Jamie Dornan
and Dakota Johnson
get it on as kinky businessman Christian Grey and innocent college co-ed Anastasia Steele respectively.
"It's happening," she tells Today about the sex scene in the film.
"What I've seen hasn't been particularly watered down, so, um, yeah," James continues. "I thought it was interesting!"
According to the actors Dornan and Johnson, filming those scenes involved a lot of "sexual acrobatics."
"It's more about visually what our bodies look like and what we're doing," Johnson explains in the same interview. "So it's more of like a dance. It's like acrobatics."
Fifty Shades of Grey is due out in theaters Feb. 13, 2015. For now, check out its trailer below!
