Lady Gaga Covers Harper's Bazaar, Gushes About Her Dog With Karl Lagerfeld
If you ever die and get the chance to be reincarnated into any animal of your choosing, make sure you ask to be Lady Gaga's pet dog -- because then you'll at least be able to grace to cover of Harper's Bazaar.
That's right, the Mother Monster and her French Bulldog, Asia, are fronting the fashion publication's much-coveted September issue. Clad in a pink dress suit a la Jackie O, Gaga is seen clutching her beloved up alongside a colorful Chanel purse in Sebastian Faena-shot spread.
But that's not all...
In the cover story, Gaga and fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld also gush about their famous pets as if they're important celebrity clientele. Lagerfeld, whose cat Choupette has over 39,000 Twitter followers and her own Wikipedia page, even suggests that their furry friends go on a play date during the interview.
"They most certainly must meet!" Gaga says. "Asia is very sweet and calm. She would be very gentle with Choupette. She does not have a personal maid yet, but I adore making her little presents and cooking her homemade puppy food."Applause" singer, her dog also helps her in all aspects of her life.
"Asia is my inspiration for many things," she explains. "She has really shown me the importance of living in the moment. If I don't, I'll miss a precious look on her face! She is a very romantic and loving animal, and this sort of poetry is what art is all about, I think. Interaction. She loves to sit with me when I record jazz. She never barks or makes noise; she just looks at me with her big ears."
She continues, "I love animals. They communicate with us entirely with love, something we all should do. Asia and my love will never be out of fashion -- it is unconditional."
