The Lonely Island Dudes are Making a Movie, Y’all

Can you imagine: “Motherlover,” “Semicolin” and “D*ck in a Box” on the big screen?

We can’t either, but here’s the next best thing: The Lonely Island guys are making a movie.

That’s right, Andy Samberg and his buddies Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone have somehow convinced Universal to acquire an untitled project written by and starring the trio.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film, set in the music world, will be produced by none other than Judd Apatow.

In addition to their Saturday Night Live creations, Lonely Island has three studio albums under their belt, including 2013’s The Wack Album (which, despite guests like Lady Gaga and Justin Timberlake, greatly undersold compared to their debut Incredibad in 2009).
