There was a Real Drive-By Shooting on Set of the N.W.A. Movie 'Straight Outta Compton'
We know the upcoming N.W.A biopic Straight Outta Compton is going to be gangster... But not this gangster.
While filming last week outside of the Compton Courthouse, a terrifying and very real drive-by shooting took place directly in front of the cast and crew on set of the film.
According to TMZ, the gunfire erupted when some neighborhood guys who were not part of the film flashed gang signs at a passing car when the passengers opened fire.
The gunmen were not targeting the movie crew, but came dangerously close, hitting a nearby civilian who collapsed next to the set. He was transported to the hospital and survived.
The Compton Sheriff's Department says the shooting is currently under investigation. It is yet to be determined if it was gang-related.
Meanwhile, the show must go on! TMZ reports filming will continue this week in Compton, despite many of the cast and crew being a bit worried about their safety (as expected).
