Julianne Hough Returning to ‘Dancing with the Stars’ as a Judge

Julianne's Other Jobs
The actress says she'd flourish in other fields, too.
Julianne Hough is making her return to Dancing with the Stars!

After leaving the show that made her a household name, Julianne is coming back to DWTS next season. She won’t be returning as a professional dancer though, TMZ is reporting that Julianne is in negotiations to become the fourth judge on the show!

Julianne decided to leave DWTS in 2009 to pursue an acting career. She starred in movies like 2011’s Footloose2012’s Rock of Ages, and 2013’s Safe Haven, but now she’s making her way back to dancing.

After doing a few appearances as a guest judge on DWTS over the last year, it seems like the show wanted to bring Julianne back permanently for season 19. She’ll be joining current judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Len Goodman on the panel. Being a judge on the show won’t be a huge time commitment for Julianne, so she’ll still be able to do some acting!

This summer, Julianne got back into dancing by touring with her brother Derek Hough. The siblings created a dance tour called Move Live on Tour and spent the last few months dancing and singing.

Derek’s back next season on DWTS as a professional dancer, so with Julianne at the judge’s table, will there be tension between the siblings? We’ll have to wait and see!
