Matt Bomer Will Guest Star on ‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’
Ryan Murphy confirmed the news to Entertainment Weekly on Sunday, saying that he thinks Matt is amazing and has made attempts to get him into everything he does. Murphy continued that it wasn’t an easy sell to Bomer, “I sent him a text that said, ‘First right of refusal, here’s the role.’ It’s very…warped.”

Matt and Ryan recently collaborated on HBO’s The Normal Heart, so the pairing makes sense.
According to EW, Matt will appear in one episode of the upcoming fourth installment of FX’s anthology series. But fear not Magic Mike fans, Murphy also confirmed that he had to work around Bomer’s commitment to the Channing Tatum-starring stripper sequel.
The official description for Horror Story’s next season is as follows: “Freak Show begins its tale in the quiet, sleepy hamlet of Jupiter, Florida. The year is 1952. A troupe of curiosities has just arrived to town, coinciding with the strange emergence of a dark entity that savagely threatens the lives of townsfolk and freaks alike. This is the story of the performers and their desperate journey of survival amidst the dying world of the American carny experience.”
