Sophia Bush Spills ‘Chicago P.D.’ Secrets, Continues to Be Amazing
Over the weekend, Sophia’s hard work was recognized as she was honored at National Women’s History Museum and Glamour Magazine‘s Women Making History Event. We were lucky enough to talk to Sophia about the event, plus she spilled some secrets about Chicago P.D.‘s upcoming season! She even talks about hanging out with Lady Gaga’s dog! See what Sophia had to say in the interview below!
Sophia is known for taking a stand and fighting for what she believes in, and we were glad to see that she was being honored for her achievements. When we spoke with Sophia, we had to ask her how it felt to be honored at the event. Sophia told us, “To get the call and find out I was being given an award today was incredibly surreal. I spend my life talking to women and reminding them of their worth and their potential and through those conversations they do the same for me. To realize that people are paying attention to the things that I sometimes think that I’m doing by myself on my computer late at night is amazing.” We’re definitely paying attention Sophia!
I Am That Girl.’ Our whole mission is to get girls to be in love and express who they are, because who they are is enough. They don’t need to be anything else and the world forgets to tell us that, so we really need to tell each other, we need to be each other’s support system.” So true!
We couldn’t let Sophia go without asking her about Chicago P.D.‘s upcoming season. Sophia revealed to us, “A lot of really exciting things are going on. You’ll learn a lot more about where Lindsay comes from, you’ll meet her mother, which is just as shocking to her as it will be to the audience.”
On the show, Sophia’s character Detective Lindsay has two love interests. One being her co-worker, Detective Halstead, played by Jesse Lee Soffer, and the other being Chicago Fire’s Kelly Severide, played by Taylor Kinney. When we asked Sophia about the love triangle she told us, “They really enjoy this toggling between the two guys. But they’re both super handsome and strong, so I’m not upset about it. I’m like ‘Oh I have to hug this one today? Okay!’’’ We told Sophia we were fine with seeing her character with either guy and she said, “You know what? Me too! When I work with Taylor I get to play with (Lady) Gaga’s dog, who I’m obsessed with. And you know working with Jesse is also amazing so I have no complaints.” Fun fact: Taylor Kinney is dating Lady Gaga, which is why Sophia gets to play with her dog! So cool!
Be sure to check out Chicago P.D. when it returns on Sept. 24 at 10/9c on NBC!
