REPORT: Joan Rivers Remains in the Hospital and on Life Support
Hospitalized since Thursday, Joan Rivers, 81, remains on life support as she isn’t able to breath on her own.
According to TMZ, Rivers, who was taken to the hospital after she stopped breathing during some sort of throat procedure, is completely dependent upon machines to stay alive.
It’s understood that her family, including daughter Melissa, still expect her to recover and will make a decision in the near future regarding if or when she’ll be taken off of life support.
Other than the fact that she isn’t breathing on her own, it isn’t clear what condition the 81-year-old is in or whether or not she’s conscious. She’s obviously resilient though, as those closest to her believe in her ability to fight for her life.
